A reimagining of public art: connecting communities and artists, building a new kind of festival.

All for FREE!

  • Move and shake your body with intro to dance workshops. Share a meal with well-known dancers and your neighbors at the premiere of two newly commissioned dance works.

  • Build a Super Creature of Energy and Power when you design and construct a huge sculpture. Learn and exhibit new skills: in musical instrument building, drawing and painting, costume designing, and constructing in wood, plastic and steel.

  • Led by artist Tim Fitts, these workshops will inform and inspire the creation of a new graphic art book. Learn the craft of silkscreen printing. Contribute to the imagery by sharing the images, objects and icons that are important to you.

  • Learn to make your own video movies. From pre-production to post-production, learn the skills of the pros in a state of the art facility and then share your video in a public screening.

  • Find your own voice with a storytelling workshop. See inside the creative process of a new play being made. Audition for a play and make waves in the theater world.

  • Explore the history and sonic landscapes of neighborhoods familiar and strange. Learn to use hand held recorders to make your own sound collages. Share your creations with the world.
